Hammer Nuts and Hammer Head Screws
Wide variety with dimensions for virtually any profile design
Small, inconspicuous – highly efficient: Hammer nuts and hammer head screws are a common fastener for connecting aluminum profiles. Schraubverbindungen in Nuten können mit Hammermuttern oder Rhombusmuttern schnell und einfach hergestellt werden. When the nut is tightened, it is held securely in place by the torque on the screw in the slot. During disassembly, it is not necessary to completely release the screw connection, as the hammer nut immediately turns longitudinally in the slot when unscrewed. This allows the hammer nut to be removed together with the attached fastener.
FATH offers a wide variety of hammer nuts, rhombus nuts and hammer head screws. Most of these components are made of zinc-plated steel. In many designs, you can choose between zinc-plated steel and stainless steel.

Flexible assembly
The FATH hammer nuts and hammer head screws are inserted directly into the slot and securely fixed in the desired position by a simple 90° rotation. This offers the advantage that they can also be used for existing profile constructions and ready-assembled profile structures. It is not necessary to access the end face of the profile. This means that the designs may be expanded or modified at any time, even retrospectively, as required. This conserves resources and maintains flexibility.
Hammer Nuts and Hammer Head Screws in ESD design
FATH hammer nuts and hammer head screws are equipped with compact “teeth” on one side. During insertion, the anodized layer is broken to create a secure electrostatic coupling, which allows electrostatic discharging.

VERSIONS
Extras to meet special requirements
On request, FATH hammer nuts are also available with various special extras: For example, some extras help with turning, while others address thread damage, thread pitch errors, and defects in polyamide coating. We also adapt the surface to your requirements. We can manufacture hammer nuts for you with dry film lubrication, zinc-nickel coating or zinc-flake coating.
FATH Spring Nuts
In addition, our product range includes spring nuts for slots 8 and 10. With these special designs, the nuts sit securely in the slot even in vertical constructions, due to the pressure of the spring.
FATH Rhombus Nuts
FATH rhombus nuts are available in two versions for slot 8. The special geometry leads to different effects: In one version, the rhombus nut locks when screwed into the slot. The other version is particularly easy to screw in and remains movable in the slot. Rhombus nuts are manufactured using zinc die-casting technology.
Matching Flange Nuts
Matching flange nuts are available for FATH hammer head screws. The large flange increases the contact surface and ensures better force distribution across the component.
