Social sustainability starts in our everyday lives. In fair cooperation, in development opportunities and in the appreciation of each individual. We are convinced that Those who feel comfortable at FATH also contribute to our success.

At FATH, we believe in the strength of diverse teams. Different perspectives, experience, and backgrounds are not incompatible with efficiency—they are prerequisites for it. That’s why we are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. Our goal: a working environment where all people are welcome and able to thrive, regardless of gender, background, age, religion or disability.

The continuous increase in the proportion of women – including in technical and management roles – is just as much part of our commitment as an open corporate culture that actively promotes diversity. It’s not about symbolism, but about attitude.

At the same time, we know: Work and personal life should be integrated, not mutually exclusive. That’s why we enable flexible working time models, part-time solutions and mobile working, adapted to different phases of life. We provide flexibility to accommodate family responsibilities, individual challenges and changes in life circumstances. One story that demonstrates this is that of our part-time trainees, who follow their career path at FATH individually and successfully.

Knowledge strengthens – health supports

Sustainability doesn't end at the factory gate – it is reflected in how we treat our employees. That’s why lifelong learning is as important to us as mental and physical health. Because only those who can develop and stay healthy can actively help shape the future.

With the FATH Academy, we create targeted further training opportunities – internally and externally. Our employees receive individual development paths, regular development discussions and access to qualification measures – from entry to management level. Even older employees are encouraged through special programs to continue to learn and stay active – because experience counts.

We take a holistic approach to health. A comprehensive occupational health management system encompasses a wide range of areas, including safety concepts in production, stress management, resilience training, mental health, prevention, and ergonomics. Offers such as JobRad, regular events and a dedicated internal culture and communications officer help to raise awareness of the issue – and ensure that health is not a secondary concern.

Sustainability grows where people take responsibility together

As a medium-sized company, we are firmly rooted in our region – and we do not see this as a matter of course, but as an obligation. For us, sustainable business also means taking on social responsibility, sharing knowledge and actively engaging in local networks.

Through the Franconian Entrepreneur Campus in Germany (Unternehmercampus Franken), we are working together with regional companies - both in executive training and the new UCF Junior Program in the field of vocational training.

These include the School-Business Working Group, in which our training team regularly participates. We also give our trainees the chance to participate in the German BDS Apprentice Academy (BDS Azubi Akademie), a collaboration between the BDS region of Central Franconia and the district's economic development team. There they can access valuable additional resources, expand their network, and learn to think beyond their own field of expertise.

We have a variety of partnerships and collaborations with local companies in the industrial park, particularly with regard to training. One such collaboration is the Hill Mill Park Event, which brings together apprentices from a range of industries. This creates an environment where shared learning, personal growth and entrepreneurial thinking are actively encouraged.

Fair opportunities are key to outstanding performance, both on the playing field and in everyday life

Sport connects people, inspires enthusiasm, and creates community - regardless of ethnicity, age, or physical abilities. That's why we are committed to supporting sports clubs and regional sport events. Our sports sponsorship is an expression of our attitude: We foster what brings people together and empowers them.

Working with a regional workshop for people with disabilities is particularly important to us. Here, genuine partnerships are formed through craftsmanship, care and mutual respect – far beyond a mere service. This collaboration shows: Participation is not a charitable act, but an integral part of sustainable value creation.
