Fair opportunities are not a privilege – they are our responsibility

For us, social sustainability begins in everyday life. In fair cooperation, in development opportunities, and in the appreciation of each individual. We are convinced that those who feel comfortable at FATH also contribute to our success.

At FATH, we believe in the strength of diverse teams. Different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds are not incompatible with efficiency – they are a prerequisite for it. That is why we are strongly committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion. Our goal is to create a working environment in which all people are welcome and can flourish, regardless of gender, origin, age, religion, or disability.

The continuous increase in the proportion of women – including in technical and management roles – is just as much a part of our commitment as an open corporate culture that actively promotes diversity. For us, this is not about symbolism, but about attitude.

At the same time, we know that work should not position itself against life – it must be integrated into it. That is why we offer flexible working time models, part-time solutions, and mobile working, adapted to different stages of life. Family responsibilities, individual challenges, or new life situations require flexibility – and we provide it. One story that shows this is that of our part-time trainees, who are pursuing their careers at FATH individually and successfully.

Knowledge empowers – health sustains

Sustainability does not end at the factory gate – it shows itself in how we treat our employees. That is why lifelong learning is just as important to us as mental and physical health. Because only those who can develop and stay healthy can actively shape the future.

With the FATH Academy, we create targeted training opportunities – both internally and externally. Our employees receive individual development paths, regular development discussions, and access to qualification measures – from entry level to management level. Older employees are also encouraged to continue their education and remain active through special programs – because experience counts.

We take a holistic approach to health. A comprehensive occupational health management system ensures prevention, ergonomics, and counseling – from safety concepts in production to stress management, resilience training, and mental health. Offers such as JobRad, regular campaigns, and an internal culture and communications officer raise awareness of the topic and ensure that health is not a side issue for us.

Sustainability grows where people take responsibility together

As a medium-sized company, we are firmly rooted in our region – and we see this not as a matter of course, but as an obligation. For us, sustainable business also means taking social responsibility, sharing knowledge, and actively participating in local networks.

Through the Unternehmercampus Franken (Franconia Entrepreneur Campus), we work together with regional companies – both in management training and in the new UCF Junior Program for the training sector.

In addition, we are actively involved in various committees through the Unternehmerfabrik Landkreis Roth (Roth District Entrepreneur Factory), such as the Arbeitskreis Schule - Wirtschaft, in which our training team regularly participates. We also offer our trainees the opportunity to participate in the BDS Azubi Academy – a cooperation project between the BDS Mittelfranken district and the district's economic development team. There, they gain valuable additional knowledge, expand their network, and learn to think beyond their own field of expertise.

In general, we maintain a wide range of partnerships and collaborations with local companies in the industrial park – especially in the area of training, such as the Hill Mill Park Event, which brings together trainees from across different industries. In this way, we create an environment in which joint learning, personal growth, and entrepreneurial thinking are actively promoted.

Strong performance requires fair opportunities – on the playing field and in everyday life

Sport connects, inspires, and creates community – regardless of origin, age, or physical abilities. That is why we support sports clubs and regional sports events not only out of conviction, but also out of a sense of responsibility. Our sports sponsorship is an expression of our attitude: we promote what brings people together and strengthens them.

Our collaboration with a regional workshop for people with disabilities is particularly important to us. Here, genuine partnerships are formed through manual labor, care, and mutual respect – far beyond a mere service. This cooperation shows that participation is not a favor, but an integral part of sustainable value creation.
